The theatrical performance "Dance with Father" by Katerina Antoniadou comes to Paxos for two performances only.

A few words about the project:
A father with dementia and his hysterical daughter try in vain to communicate. Each through their own disorder, pulsating within themselves, seeking their own personal redemption.

The daughter is completely devoted to her father. She visits him daily, takes care of him, has his complete responsibility. She has completely put her life aside. This evolving day is also the father's day of exaltation. He doesn't recognize her. He, clinging to a stopped clock, limits himself to repetitive patterns, stubbornly denying the truth. He denies his children, he denies the job he served, he denies his inability to support himself.

Despite the hysterical pressure from his daughter, he seems to be constantly evading reality - or so the daughter's confused mind thinks.
Unable to communicate with the new reality, she too is lost. Unable to cope with her long-destroyed relationship with her father, but especially her relationship with herself, she becomes confused. Confused and blaming. She goes so far as to question her father's dementia, terrorizing him and shouting, "I don't believe you! It's a game you're playing!" Always from the position of the victim, clinging to her past, the one directly involved with her father, she reminisces about it, triggering wild memories and dragging him into a violent dance of sensations and hallucinations.

Communication is a losing game. Understanding on both sides is non-existent and each hero's ego is so big that it leaves no room to see beyond their noses. Dementia and hysteria move forward, suffocatingly bound, with sickly steps, half of which stagger to the left and the other half to the right.

There is no destination. They both go where the wind blows. One afternoon. A delirious day, where each day that follows another, where nothing changes.

Always through a sense of humor, always through a laugh, always through a cry, one afternoon, father and daughter meet and look at each other with closed eyes.
