The Corfu International Festival welcomes the Thessaloniki State Orchestra in a Gala Tribute to Maria Callas at Municipal Theatre of Corfu.

The programme includes favourite arias and well-known works of the lyrical repertoire that, for most people, have been identified with the sublime persona of Maria Callas.

The distinguished soprano Alexia Voulgaridou having an international career in collaboration with great conductors and presence in some of the greatest stages in Europe, she brings a fresh breath to timeless works.

On Thessaloniki State Orchestra conducted by the leading Swiss conductor Philippe Bach, who has conducted major European orchestras and numerous operas, presenting excerpts from Verdi's Nabucco, Bizet's Carmen, Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana and Puccini's Madama Butterfly, among others.
