The Birth of a Fascist - The Apology of Theophilos Tsafos
Πολλαπλοί Χώροι

A gruesome female infanticide shocks public opinion during the years of the junta. Nikos Koundouros, a political immigrant in London at the time, follows the social dimension of the trial and writes a shocking monodrama on the occasion of this event.
A law student killed in a gruesome way the girl with whom he had been having an affair for three years. The body of the young girl was thrown from the third floor of a central Athens hotel, half-naked after a sexual act, onto the pavement like a piece of rubbish. Koundouros enters with great mastery into the clouded mind of the killer.
He writes in detail following the agony and manic pursuit of Theophilus Tsafos, a murderer who confounded the court and was labeled both schizophrenic and in full consciousness.
The killer states in his apology that he is a secret service man, which is not confirmed.
At this point, Koundouros begins to masterfully unravel the tangle, going back in time to reveal the paranoia in the birth of a fascist.
The play was directed by Giota Koundouroakis and starred Nikos Panopoulos and was performed 15 years ago for 2 seasons, with great success and is repeated for a few performances.
