The iconic monologue by Loula Anagnostakis, directed and dramaturgically adapted by Eleni Parginou, after a first successful cycle of performances in Athens at Bios exploring urban culture, continues its journey in Kefalonia on 27 & 28 April at the Municipal Theatre of Argostoli "Kefalos".
The famous anti-heroine of Lula Anagnostaki meets a modern version of her. Eleni Parginou "dives" into the story of the protagonist, Sophia Apostolou, and brings her to life on stage with her own perspective.
The performance draws inspiration from the literary universe of Loula Anagnostakis and with the use of new media tells the story of Sophia Apostolou, the heroine of the eponymous work, who masterfully balances the author's libidinal dilemmas. Sophia Apostolou seems to articulate between the collective and the personal, the private and the public, expectation and despair, between a past and a present, a constant inside-outside where one affects the essence of the other. A person-symbol of a personal/collective wound trying to find the
its sequence in an unclear today.

Director's Note:
In Sky Red Sky we meet one of Loula Anagnostakis' (anti-)heroines, Sophia Apostolou. In the story of the heroine we recognize both personal frustration and collective refutation. Rejecting a world,
who has first rejected it, Sophia Apostolou, through the story of her son's social deviation, raises the flag of an errant who puts himself outside the "healthy" and "well-hearted" society. In this "outside," the heroine will recognize her own nature, her own "tendency toward evil," and this "outside" will eventually become the voice of her own rebellion. The heroine's mnemonic process, in our performance, takes on the function of a broken mirror that reflects her own history in a distorted and fragmented way.
