The choreographer Penny Diamantopoulou presents 2 dance pieces entitled "I'M SORRY." of the dance group Articulation at Corfu International Festival from Monday 13 November at 20:00 at Municipal Theatre of Corfu.
In "1 2 3" Female and Male move in their limited space while maintaining their individuality. She perceives the lack of the other, feels dissatisfied with her existence as a unit, seeks communication. He experiences his loneliness in an almost absolute and sterile way. He enjoys the monotony of his repetitive movements. Gradually her movement invades his space, the distance between them decreases. He redefines his image, he comes out of his limits and his trap in the monotony of repetitive movement and linear rhythm. Their paths meet... touch, touch, embrace, union.
In "On the road" we watch clean routes and shapes in space, bodies moving sometimes in coordination and sometimes in counterpoint, a movement that emphasizes the loneliness of the dancers, but ultimately unites them. Spasmodic, claustrophobic movements performed by lonely bodies are interspersed with slow and sensual duets. Embraced bodies move in slow motion, suddenly disengage and begin an increasingly rapid dialogue. The dialogue-dialogue between the bodies gradually becomes frenetic and confrontational to culminate in a shared journey to earth. All the dancers are perfectly coordinated in a common path to the earth, like members of one body, to form a core.
