Through the full of humour and true emotion writing of Dimitra Papadopoulou, the full of variations and tenderness direction of Kostas Gakis, the human and magical staging and lighting touches of Natasha Faye Kosmidou and of course the divine and touching performance of Pavlos Loutsidis, Dostoevsky's great play \"The Dream of a Ridiculist\" comes to life today in a completely unexpected and fresh way.<\/p>\n

We can through the words of Dostoevsky...
\nTo discover what we seek?
\nTo find out where the truth really lies?
\nShall we engage in a merciless battle with the dragon of seriousness?
\nTo find out where the purpose and meaning of our life is?
\nWill we ever be able to exonerate our \"ridiculous\" selves?
\nTo feel the light even in the darkest streets?
\nShould we take some time in the hustle and bustle of this city to stargaze again?
\nTo allow a little girl who speaks another language, believes in another God
\nto teach us how to love?
\nTo enjoy our every humiliation as if it were a triumph?
\nShould we learn from the beginning how to fall in love?
\nTo realize that nothing separates us from our neighbour and everything unites us?
\nTo love life again and honour the miracle given to us?<\/p>\n

The Hero of our play, he did it!
\nHe could do it even though he had lost everything - job, money, expensive house, power, prestige and with it the meaning of existence.
\nHe did it, even though he now lives in a basement in Acharnon.
\nHe did it!
\nDiscovering the good in everything within and around him - he embraced and loved life again.<\/p>\n

Because as the \"Great\" Fyodor Dostoevsky says:
\n\"A man who knows how to hug is a good man.\"<\/p>\n

And since he was able to do it...
