A few words about the film<\/strong><\/p>\n

From the beloved actress and director Anna Rezan, comes a moving documentary about Greece's role in World War II and the Holocaust, bringing to light the unique and forgotten history of the Greek Jews.<\/p>\n

A co-production by Anna Rezan with Zafiris Haitidis and Academy Award winners Mitchell Block (Big Mama) and Kim Magnuson (Helium), My People is a gripping documentary about soul power, identity and solidarity during one of the darkest periods in history.<\/p>\n

The film brings to light the unknown history of the Greek Jews, the Occupation, the National Resistance and the heroic role played by the church. Through the eyes of a young woman - the youngest filmmaker ever to tackle the subject of the Holocaust - a deeply personal journey of discovery of her family history unfolds.<\/p>\n

My People is a documentary hymn to love, unity and courage. As producer Mitchell Block states. Her focus on hope, humanity and love is an innovative visual approach to this subject. In more than forty years of my filmmaking career, I have never seen a work that addresses such issues the way this film does. It has been a pleasure and an inspiration to work with the dedicated filmmaker Anna Rezan.\"<\/p>\n

The documentary My People is coming to cinemas on 22 January, a few days before the International Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Holocaust (27 January).<\/p>\n

A few words about the director Anna Rezan<\/strong><\/p>\n

An award-winning international actress and director... Known from The Good Wife, the pages of Vogue magazine and the runways of New York... Anna Rezan started her career at a very young age, appearing in Greek films and TV series, which led to her international acclaim.<\/p>\n

In film and music projects he has collaborated with international artists such as Mikis Theodorakis, Julio Iglesias, Paul McCartney, Amos Poe and Roberto Benigni. Rezan returned to Greece and started working on her directorial debut My People on her own.<\/p>\n

She is co-producer of the documentary The Re-education Camp on the Makronissos concentration camp and has presented the musical theatre play I Call My Old Friends, dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Polytechnic uprising.<\/p>\n

This year he co-stars with Eric Roberts in the popular New York TV series Great Kills and the sci-fi action film City Rush 4, which is streaming on Amazon Prime. He will also star in the theatrical monologue Female Feticide.<\/p>\n
