After the success of the show \"My Friend Dostoevsky\" and its numerous trips all over Greece, the same creative trio (Pavlos Loutsidis, Kostas Gakis, Natasha Fay Kosmidou) strikes again with its new artistic statement, the witty, romantic comedy \"Every year on the same day<\/strong>\".<\/p>\n

The multi-award winning play by Bernard Slade, first presented in Greece by Alekos Alexandrakis and Nonika Galinea, now acquires a completely different identity, rhythm and aesthetics with the dynamic performances of Sofia Manolakou and Pavlos Loutsidis, two actors who transform the hotel room into a battlefield with intense physicality, large doses of humour and moments of rare humanity that serves as a breath of relief to the cynical rhythms and the numbing of emotions of today.<\/p>\n

Kostas Gakis, with his always inventive directorial eye, gives a frenetic stage rhythm to the play and creates a completely original theatrical convention in which laughter succeeds emotion and realistic acting in a sharp and unexpected way.
\nalternates rapidly with grotesque elements and unexpected touches of magical realism.
\nHe also signs the musical composition which sets the tone of each scene and completes the aesthetics of the work. Natasha - Fay Kosmidou, partner in the direction and constant dramaturg of the group, gives in turn many clever solutions to bring the text to the present and signs the atmospheric lighting.<\/p>\n

History :<\/strong>
\nGeorge and Doris meet illegally once a year, always on the same day, at the same motel in San Francisco. For 25 years. In one 24-hour period they try to fit everything that has changed and everything that has stayed the same: the joys, the losses, the small victories and the big decisions. A relationship that is at once love, friendship, romance, play and hurt.
\nA relationship outside the boundaries, but deep within their lives. The viewer watches the \"painting\" of this relationship being painted before them - from youth to middle age, with humour, tenderness and disarming honesty.<\/p>\n
