Municipal Theatre, for two performances.
A few words about the project:
A father with dementia and his hysterical daughter try in vain to
communicate. Each through his own disorder, pulsating within himself, seeking
his personal redemption.
The daughter is completely devoted to her father. She visits him every day, visits him
takes care of, has his ultimate responsibility. She has completely set aside her life. This day that
evolves, it is also the day of the father's exaltation. He doesn't recognize it. He himself, clinging
in a stopped clock, he is reduced to repetitive patterns, stubbornly refusing to
the truth. He denies his children, he denies the work he served, he denies his incompetence, he denies the
of self-service.
Despite hysterical pressure from his daughter, he seems to constantly evade
reality - or so the daughter's confused mind thinks.
Unable to communicate with the new reality, she too is lost. No longer able to
manage her long-damaged relationship with her father, but especially her relationship with her father.
with herself, she gets confused. She gets confused and blames. She goes so far as to question
her father's dementia, terrorizing him and
shouting "I don't believe you! It's just a game you're playing!" Always through the position
of the victim, clinging to her past, the one directly involved with her father, the
reminiscing, triggering wild memories and dragging him into a violent dance of senses and
hallucinations.
Communication is a losing game. Understanding on both sides
nonexistent and the ego of each hero is so large that it leaves no room to see
beyond their noses. Dementia and hysteria proceed, suffocatingly bound, with sickly
steps, half of which stagger to the left and the other half to the right.
There is no destination. They both go where the wind blows. One afternoon. An
delirious day, where each day follows another, where nothing changes.
Always through a sense of humour, always through a laugh, always through a laugh, always through a cry, a laugh, a laugh.
afternoon, father and daughter meet and look at each other with closed eyes.
