SISSY IN HEAVEN

What could happen if after the end of all the revolutions, all the
of the movements that the last few centuries have spawned, Princess Sissy was meeting
again with her killer, but ...in the Other World...where 'all are equal' and the
all that matters is forgiveness?
This is the theme of the new original play 'SISSY IN HEAVEN', based on the life of
and the untimely death of Princess SISSY, the grieving empress of the
Austria, which was written by order of the CERKYRAS THEATRE, the actor
ZACHARIAS ROCHAS, starring in the title role Anzela Gerekou.
The play is set in a 'th-place', (Purgatory - Paradise?), where the importance of
no time, no seasons, no titles, no origins, no money, only the
TELEPHONE:
"Souls must be reconstituted and the drama must be repeated from the beginning. This
this time with the aim of forgiveness...' as Angel says in the play, who as
director, he makes sure everything happens on time!
With a lot of humour and theatre-in-theatre techniques, the play touches on very important
issues that defined the 20th century:
What is the value of lives when people are suffering? How much blood justifies a
Revolution? What does prison mean to anyone? What is the significance of individual stories,
in the face of the overwhelming tide of HISTORY?
The play comes to show that the impossibility of personal rebellion carries the same weight as
the desperate act of an ideologue, and that what one believes, however justly
is, can never be 'called an act'.

The personal stories of each of the protagonists, Princess SISSY,
of her killer, Luigi Lukeni, the mother of Luisa, her son Sissy's mother,
Prince RODOLPHOS, as well as his mistress and cousin MARIA VETSERA,
even the teacher of SISSY, the Greek intellectual and director
Konstantinos Christomanou, they all ended up with a wound in the heart....
Who can justify their short lives but themselves? What can
repeat history, except the THEATRE...
