Concert of the Music Corps tribute to Thanos Mikroutsikos | Mantzaros Philharmonic Society | Corfu

The musical body of the "Manjaros Philharmonic Society" makes Concert - Tribute to Thanos Mikroutsikos.

The concert will take place in front of the St. George's Church, in the old Fortress, on Monday 29 July 2024 at 21:00pm.

The evening will be dedicated to the unforgettable and great Composer Thanos Mikroutsiko, who many times traveled us with his music to unique musical paths. To this experiential composer whose only way we would like to remember him is through his work.

Two close friends of his, two great performers, the Rita Antonopoulou and Kostas Thomaidis, join their voices with the musicians of "Mantzaros" in the songs of Th. Mikroutsikos that we all loved.

In the concert on 29 July, his great hits will be performed, with lyrics by the great poets he himself loved, Yannis Ritsos, Alkis Alkaios, Kostas Tripolitis, François Villon and of course Constantine Cavafy.

The songs of the concert will cover the whole range of Thanos Mikroutsikos' work from "Stavros tou Νόto", "Wind", "Lines of Horizons", "Hamlet of the Moon" and "The Shack of the Century".

The concert will be conducted by the Chief Musician of "FEM" κ. Socrates Anthis.

The general admission at the Old Fortress on the day of the concert will be 17€, while the presale will be 15€.
