"The Magic of Music": a performance that stole our hearts!

The weekend of 11 and 12 January 2025 will be unforgettable for those who were lucky enough to be at the packed Corfu Municipal Theatrelet, where the Artistic Association "METRON" presented the musical "The Magic of Music". This unique production, based on the legendary Broadway musical "The Sound of Music" (The Melody of Happiness), won the audience with its magical atmosphere, moving performances and music that touches hearts.

The play takes us to 1938 Austria, a time full of challenges and upheavals. At the heart of the story, the young novice nun Maria takes care of the seven children of the stern widower Captain Von Trapp. With the help of a guitar and her boundless optimism, she brings joy and music back into their lives, changing the family's future forever.

Over 60 coefficients, on stage and behind the lights, worked tirelessly to bring this impressive production to life. The direction, arrangement, songwriting in Greek, orchestration and overall editing were done by Spyros Atsopardi and Eftychia Vogiatzoglou, while the unique choreographies bear the signature of Victory Yannou.

The spectators who flooded the Municipal Theatre of Corfu could not contain their enthusiasm. The laughter, the reflections, and the tears of emotion created an experience that touched all the senses. The warm response from the audience was nothing short of explosive, with prolonged applause and cheers at the end of each performance.

A 10 Year Anniversary with a Cultural Stamp

The Artistic Association "METRON", celebrating the 10 years of creative presence, has once again demonstrated its commitment to cultural development and artistic quality. "The Magic of Music" was not just a performance; it was a journey into the magic of art and music that unites people.

With the curtain closing, the anticipation for the next productions of the "METRON" Association has already begun.
