30 Years of Songs | Miltos Paschalidis with the Ionian Islands Symphony Orchestra - Unique Concert in Corfu

The most subversive musical collaboration of this summer is coming to Corfu.

Ο Miltos Paschalidis returns to his beloved island, after ten years, on the occasion of the completion of three decades of creative career, and joins forces with Symphony Orchestra of the Ionian Islands, in a night that promises to be unforgettable.

A musical encounter of high aesthetics and deep emotion, where contemporary art song meets the power of symphonic expression and personal narrative is transformed into a shared experience.

Two places - One life experience

Part A:

Miltos Paschalidis performs with the Contemporary Music Ensemble of the Ionian Islands Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of conductor Ilias Gogkidis.

As the conductor states: "I have always been deeply moved by the idea of Greek songs taking on a new form through symphonic orchestration - transforming themselves without losing their soul. It is an act of rebirth: where the melody of the street, of love and memory meets the momentum of the orchestra and is born again."

His favourite songs are presented in new, symphonic arrangements, curated by Yannis Beloni and Dimitris Economidis - inviting us to hear them differently, as if for the first time.

Part B:

Paschalidis turns up the intensity, returning with his familiar band, in an electric, dynamic atmosphere, full of passion, as befits a concert-festival, full of songs that have been loved, sung and shared by generations.

30 Years, Infinite Songs

After three sold-out nights at the Vrahon Theatre in Athens and three sold-out nights in Thessaloniki, Kalavrita and Volos, this musical journey continues for a single performance in Corfu, on Saturday 28 June, at 21:00 at the Old Fortress of Corfu.

From "A Fairy Tale with a Sad End" to his most recent creations, Miltos Paschalidis unfolds a path full of stories, emotion, personal memory and collective emotion.
